Cross River National Park

The Cross River National Park (CRNP) is a 4,000 km² conservation park featuring diverse ecosystems, including tropical rainforests and mangrove swamps. This park is one of the last remaining closed-canopy rainforests in Africa and houses numerous endangered species.

CRNP is divided into two main sections—the Oban and Okwangwo divisions—each offering a unique connection with nature.

Things to do at the Cross River National Park

  • Watch out and spot various endangered and localized species of plants and animals, including elephants, buffalo, drill monkeys, red foxes, leopards, and baboons—depending on how lucky you are.
  • Take exciting pictures of yourself and the animals.
  • Focus on connecting with nature without any distractions, as the park is a dead zone with no reception.
  • Enjoy local delicacies at their in-house lodge, which features a restaurant.
