Green Africa Airline has a fleet of domestic aircraft that covers some of the top cities in Nigeria, including Lagos and Abuja. It’s a small aircraft, burns less fuel, and charges less for their flight rates compared to other Nigerian airlines.
They have only one primary source of booking for flight tickets, which is through their website, along with a seamless payment method. Their ticketing comes in 3 different categories; gSaver, gClassic, and gFlex, which, as expected, come with different benefits.
ROUTE | SCHEDULE |

ENUGU – LAGOS | Three times a week |
IBADAN – ABUJA | Three times a week |

Instead of waiting to get checked check-in at the airport, online check-in is advised. This is open at least 24 hours before your departure. The advantage of checking in online is to avoid missing your flight if, by chance, you don’t make it to the airport early, as they give priority to those who have their boarding pass in the queue.
When you’ve gotten an email notification that the online check-in is available, you only need to visit their website, enter your details as requested and complete the process.
You’re expected to be at the airport at least one hour before your flight. This accommodates any unexpected change and gets you settled in preparation for your trip. One key item you should never forget is your ID card, as you’ll need it during your check-in.
If you’ve done your online check-in prior to arriving at the airport, you’ll only show your online boarding pass and your ID. Then you’ll be issued a hard copy of your boarding pass.
Green Africa has three categories of passengers, GSaver, GClassic, and GFlex. Each of them has a limit to the size of the bag they can carry, with extra weight attracting charges.
Category | Cabin Baggage | Check-in Baggage |
gSaver | 7kg | – |
gClassic | 7kg | 15kg |
gFlex | 7kg | 23kg |

Green Africa Airline was one-time my favourite go-to airline whenever I was travelling, especially from Lagos to Enugu. This is because their rates were more subsidized compared to other airlines.
Their flight time was usually in the morning too, except in cases of changes to the flight schedule. However, their flight schedules were often altered so I was mostly faced with flight cancellations or rescheduling. This factor makes Green Africa an airline for non-urgent occasions; otherwise, you risk meeting up with your important engagement.
They have a strict baggage policy for GSaver travellers, so they’re equally the best option for light travel trips. Prepare to pay more at the counter if you’re a GSaver flyer with a load bigger than 7kg. Otherwise, it’s best to pay online for extra loads during your flight booking because the rate is less than the counter rate per kg.
Overall, Green Africa is a very thoughtful airline with a customer service rating of 98%. They’re worth flying with.
